  • Winners of 2020 Grand Lodge Raffle
    Updated On: May 16, 2017

The winning tickets were drawn for the first union-wide 2020 Grand Lodge Convention fundraising raffle on May 13 at the conclusion of the MNPL Conference in Washington, DC. Over $100,000 was raised to help offset the cost of the convention. Three prizes were drawn with the winners receiving gift cards for $4,500, $2,000 and $1,500. Congratulations to the raffle winners:
Grand Prize: Andrew Sandberg, District 19
    Second Prize: Blaine Powell, Weyerhaeuser
    • Third Prize: Michael Jablonski, Local 751C

Every four years the IAM holds the Grand Lodge Constitutional Convention in a different geographical territory. In 2020 the Western Territory will be hosting the IAM Grand Lodge Convention in San Diego. The territory is already hard at work developing fundraisers to help offset the cost of your convention.

District 751 held a competition to sell the most raffle tickets. Below are the winners in our contest to sell tickets:

    1st Place -$750. Michael Trinchini, 414 tickets sold, 751-C
    2nd Place - $500. Darry Woodson, 211 tickets sold, 751-A
    3rd Place - $250. Chris Chairez, 154 tickets sold, 751-A

Thanks to all who helped sell the raffle tickets at 751. By working together, we were able to sell more than $37,000 worth of tickets.

“The overwhelming support of this raffle was phenomenal,” said Western Territory General Vice President Gary Allen. “I want to thank everyone who participated for their generosity. Together, we were able to raise more than $105,000 towards our 40th Grand Lodge Convention in San Diego.”
