Negotiation Update 1/9/2024 CONTRACT VOTE ACCEPTED Tuesday January 9th 2024 Union members working at ASC Machine Tools voted 58% to accept the company’s last and final offer. 93% of eligible members casted their votes. The negotiation committee would like to thank each and every member for voting and being a part of this process and look forward to working with you through the life of the contract. Negotiation Update 1/4/2024 IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP RATIFICATION MEETING AND VOTE REVIEW MEETING: Monday, January 8th. Contract Ratification meeting will be at 1:30 PM and 3:45 PM at the Spokane Union Hall. Your negotiation committee will be available to answer questions and full Contract Ratification Proposals will be available. December 27th, 2023 - Negotiations Update ASC Machine Tools met with your negotiation committee to discuss the Company's last proposal form Thursday, December 19, 2023. The Company made adjustment in overtime language form the Company’s last proposal regarding no mandatory overtime on Saturday. As a result of the contract changes, holidays, vacations and membership eligibility, we have extended the contract in order to conduct a vote of the new changes. Voting will be on January 9, 2024. We also will have two meetings on January 8,2024. At 1:30 & 3:30pmto discuss the Company's last proposal. Contract Vote and ratification Meeting will be held at Spokane Union Hall. LL 86. 4226 E. Membership rejects contract and vote unanimously to strike! Today at ASC Machine Tool membership spoken in volumes as they rejected the contract over 70% and voted to strike over 75%. The current contract does not expire until December 31, 2023. Which means we will begin picket lines beginning January, 2024. As more information becomes available, we will communicate this to your negotiation committee and through our website. December 6th, 2023 - Negotiations Update ASC Machine Tool Formal Negotiations
Your committee has worked hard on your behalf and has prepared contract proposals addressing the concerns and demands of our membership. We handed our proposal to the company and spoke with confidence regarding the issues it contained. We discussed articles of economic & non-economic and proposed changes. Overall, this was a positive day and we look forward to being back at the table again Friday December 8, 2023 to continue working on your behalf. Note: There has been discussion from members about the negotiation committee showing our first proposal to everyone prior to showing the company our position. We feel this would not be a good idea as we are bargaining at the negotiation table as a committee on your behalf. We feel negotiation proposals should stay at the table until we reach a last and final proposal from the company. We know this can be frustrating, but we assure you we are working hard on your behalf. Putting our proposals out to early my cause unnecessary problems. The strong showing and unity tell ASC our members are determined and committed for a fair contract in 2023! Contract negotiation update 10/22/2023. Your subcommittee team has a BBQ lunch planned for this Thursday, October 26, 2023. This will be held during your lunch time at 12 noon for day shift and 7:30 pm for swing shift. We will be handing out Surveys and Contract Negotiation Process books.
